Terms of Service

Please review these terms before commissioning!

Request Acceptance and Pricing

1. The Artist retains the right to decline any commission request before the sketching process has begun. If a down payment has been issued by this time, it will be refunded in its entirety. 

 

2. Elements of high detail or innate complexity that are included either in the initial description or subsequent sketching phase are subject to an additional detail fee depending on the element in question; i.e. props, animals, architecture, etc.

3. Upon confirmation of commission, an initial down payment equal to half of the total invoice must be payed before sketching may begin. The remaining amount is to be paid no more than 10 days after receiving the finished artwork. Payment plans can be discussed in further detail upon request.

4. If the commission is cancelled at any point before the finished piece is delivered, the Artist will keep the down payment in its entirety as a cancellation fee.

5. Once a finished piece has been delivered, no refunds will be issued for any reason. 

6. All payments are to be made in a timely matter through Paypal/USD. 

Revisions

7. After completion of the sketching phase, Additional fees will be charged to the Client for any and all revisions that reflect a new direction for the assignment or new conceptual input.

8. Revisions requested after finished artwork is delivered will be either accepted or denied on a per-revision basis depending on the scale and complexity of said revision. These revisions may also incur additional fees depending on the nature of said revisions.

Artwork Rights and Licensing

9. By default, all of the pieces created by the Artist are for non-commercial/personal usage and the Artist retains all rights to all created artwork including but not limited to all rights in sketches, comps, or other preliminary materials produced by the Artist. The Artist retains the right of usage for self-promotion, including placement in portfolio.

10. The rights to use any artwork created by the Artist in a commercial manner are to be discussed with the Artist beforehand and will incur additional fees depending on the nature of said rights. 

Social Media and Crediting

11. Unless otherwise agreed, the Artist retains the right to post any and all artwork created to their social media.

  • The Client may ask the Artist to postpone or refrain from posting the artwork on social media altogether.

12. If the artwork is posted or uploaded by the Client, the Artist must be credited.

13. A signature may be placed upon the finished artwork at the Artist's discretion.
